Can you tell me how much my Project will cost?

The cost of a building project is extremely difficult to predict particularly before it is fully designed. We can provide indicative costs for most projects or we can produce a realistic build-cost estimate, and advise an appropriate level of contingency.

The final costs will depend on many factors including size, scope and complexity of the project, amount of structural work involved and level of specification required.

Do you have a minimum size project?

No project is too small or large for us. We provide the same service and care to projects from small kitchen extension to new build houses. Do you only work in Manchester? The majority of our projects are in the Manchester area, however we undertake projects all over the country.

Can you provide us with a reference?

We have completed hundreds of projects and would be delighted to provide you with any references you require.

Who will build my project?

After being involved in many residential projects we know this is where many of our clients become anxious. Knowing who to trust with what can be for most a once in a lifetime commitment can be a daunting task. We aim to take these stresses away from you as we have established a group of builders who over many projects have been selected because of there high standards of service and workmanship combined with competitive pricing. Contractors are required to produce examples of previously completed projects and attend a pre-site meeting with the client to detail the build cost and estimated build time. It works both ways we aim to look after our clients and our builders aim to do the same to stay on our tendering list. All of the contractors on our list are required to produce examples of previously completed projects.

How long before we can start on site?

From the client making initial contact with Blu Room Architecture we aim to be ready to submit your drawings to planning within 2-3 weeks. The planning process then takes 8 weeks to gain approval, during this we will be completing detailed drawings and submitting these for Building Regulation approval. As we use a private building control company they will pass the drawings within a week. Once you have the relevant applications approval in place you can commence with the building work. Estimated timescale to commence on site = 12 weeks.

What are your fee’s?

We believe in providing our clients with an excellent service for a reasonable fee.

  • We provide free ‘no obligation’ initial consultations.
  • We work on a lump sum, fixed fee basis.
  • Depending on the nature of the work, charging an hourly rate may be more appropriate. When this is the case, a rate will be agreed and regular updates provided regarding progress and associated costs.
  • Our quotations are clear and easy to understand, with no hidden costs or fees.
